ROLE SUMMARY
Faculty members at Valor Christian High School are charged with preparing tomorrow’s leaders to transform the world for Christ. - Implore meaningful instructional techniques and texture in the classroom to engage a variety of learning styles and promote critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and innovation

- Understand the curriculum of a wide range of Science and Chemistry courses (college preparatory, honors, AP, etc.)
- Collaborate with the Science team to develop and deliver consistent assessments and sound instruction

- Through Chemistry and Science classes and interactions with the Faculty member, students will have the opportunity to experience God’s love and know that God has a plan and purpose for their life
- Students will display college and career competencies in language, oratory, writing, reading, research, and discussion
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline closely related to the subjects to be taught
- Advanced Degree in a Chemistry related area is preferred
- Experience teaching AP Level Chemistry preferred
- Solid biblical and theological foundation and understanding
- Desire to teach and/or experience within Christian education
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics are varied and include classroom, office, and outdoor events while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is also varied.
