Instructional Faculty General Application (2025-26 School Year)

This position offices in-person, on campus

Implore meaningful instructional techniques and texture in the classroom to engage a variety of learning styles and promote critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and innovation

Provide a learning environment and classroom management style built upon mutual respect and conducive to student learning

Understand the curriculum of a wide range of courses (college preparatory, honors, AP, etc.)

Collaborate with your department's team to develop and deliver consistent assessments and sound instruction

Demonstrate a love for students and a desire to personally invest in their spiritual, emotional and social maturation

Invest in the lives of students through Life Groups, senior prayer partners, and other mentorship opportunities

RESULTS

Valor excels in advancing Valor's Student Outcomes including : spiritual formation, college preparedness, and cultural engagement

Through classes and interactions with the Faculty member, students will have the opportunity to experience God's love and know that God has a plan and purpose for their life

Students will display college and career competencies in language, oratory, writing, reading, research, and discussion

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline closely related to the subjects to be taught

Advanced Degree in a related area to the subject being taught is preferred

Solid biblical and theological foundation and understanding

Desire to teach and / or experience within Christian education

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The same basic physical demands described here are the same for all employees to successfully perform the essential functions of their jobs. Employees must periodically lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and could occasionally be required to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral / depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics are varied and include classroom, office, and outdoor events while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is also varied
