Position Overview
The Head of School serves as the chief executive officer, responsible for the overall leadership
and operation of the school. This role ensures that the school functions in alignment with the
mission and values of Valor Global Foundation and operates in accordance with policies
established by the Local School Board and the Valor Global Foundation Board. The Head of
School oversees academic, financial, and operational aspects while fostering a Christ-centered
environment.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Master’s Degree (minimum requirement).
- ACSI Administrative Credential (possessed or in process).
- Minimum of five years of experience in education, with at least some administrative
experience.
- Strong leadership experience in financial oversight and school management.
Spiritual & Personal Qualifications:
- Committed follower of Jesus Christ, demonstrating spiritual maturity and a
Christ-centered life.
- Fully supports and adheres to the Valor Global Foundation Statement of Faith.
- Passionate about Christian education and its transformative impact.
- Active member of a local church whose beliefs align with the Foundation.
- Demonstrates integrity, servant leadership, and a strong personal commitment to biblical
values.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Administration:
- Provide overall leadership for the school, ensuring alignment with its mission and values.
- Implement policies established by the Local School Board and Valor Global Foundation
Board.
- Supervise and evaluate faculty, staff, and administration.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies, including record retention and legal
guidelines.
- Maintain and oversee all school handbooks, policies, and operational documents.
Spiritual Leadership:
- Foster a Christ-centered culture among students, staff, and parents.
- Lead by example in faith, servant leadership, and community engagement.
- Encourage and facilitate staff spiritual growth and professional development.
- Maintain a commitment to prayer and biblical teaching in decision-making.
Academic Oversight & Curriculum Development:
- Approve curriculum selection, textbooks, and instructional materials.
- Analyze school data to make informed decisions about academic improvements.
- Oversee scope and sequence development for all subjects.
- Ensure teachers engage in ongoing professional and spiritual growth.
Personnel & Staff Development:
- Approve hiring, evaluation, and professional development of faculty and staff.
- Work with vice principals and leadership team to build a strong, cohesive team.
- Encourage continual spiritual and professional growth of all employees.
Financial & Budget Management:
- Work with the Finance Administrator to develop and manage the annual budget.
- Oversee financial policies and ensure wise stewardship of resources.
- Maintain oversight of school tuition, financial aid, and fundraising initiatives.
Student & Parent Engagement:
- Supervise the admissions process, ensuring alignment with school values.
- Support and nurture a thriving, Christ-centered school community.
- Serve as a liaison between parents, faculty, and administration.
Board Relations & Long-Term Planning:
- Provide regular reports to the Local School Board and Valor Global Foundation Board.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for school growth and development.
- Engage in continuous improvement efforts through research and best practices in
education.
Public Relations & Community Engagement:
- Serve as the primary ambassador of the school, strengthening relationships with local
churches, businesses, and educational organizations.
- Promote a positive image of the school through effective marketing and communications.
- Develop strong relationships with donors, alumni, and community leaders.
