Position Overview:
Valor Christian School International (VCSI) is a One-2-One school that partners with families in educating students to serve the Kingdom of God. The Vice Principal of Middle and High School plays a vital leadership role in ensuring that our students thrive academically, spiritually, and personally. This position oversees faculty, collaborates with department chairs on academic instruction, and leads efforts to cultivate a Christ-centered, innovative, and globally-minded school culture. May include teaching of a class section as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & School Culture:
- Champion and uphold the mission, vision, and core distinctives of Valor Christian School
International.
- Collaborate with the Head of School to implement school-wide initiatives, ensuring a
Christ-centered educational experience.
- Foster an environment where courageous faith is put into action, encouraging students
and faculty to boldly live out biblical truths.
- Model servant leadership and inspire a culture of innovation, collaboration, and global
competence within the school.
- Ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment where students can flourish
spiritually, academically, and socially.
Academic Oversight & Faculty Support:
- Oversee and support middle and high school faculty, ensuring that academic instruction
is rigorous, innovative, and aligned with biblical truth.
- Collaborate with the Elementary Vice Principal to ensure course alignment and
continuity.
- Serve as the primary administrator for faculty, conducting performance evaluations,
providing feedback, and supporting professional development.
- Partner with department chairs to maintain high academic standards and ensure a
cohesive, faith-integrated curriculum.
- Lead faculty meetings and professional development sessions to promote instructional
excellence and student engagement strategies.
- Support the development of innovative learning experiences that prepare students to
solve real-world challenges with courageous faith and global competence.
Student Development & Discipline:
- Implement and enforce student behavior policies with a redemptive and restorative
approach.
- Partner with faculty and parents to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional
concerns.
- Promote student leadership opportunities that encourage responsibility, character
growth, and Kingdom-minded impact.
- Maintain student discipline records and ensure consistency in disciplinary actions while
prioritizing student growth and spiritual maturity.
Parent & Community Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with parents through clear, proactive, and grace-filled
communication.
- Serve as a liaison between families, teachers, and school leadership, ensuring alignment
and shared vision.
- Represent VCSI at school events, parent meetings, and community engagements.
- Address parent concerns with professionalism, wisdom, and a problem-solving mindset.
Operations & School Safety:
- Assist in managing daily school operations, including schedules, faculty supervision, and
logistics.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and school policies.
- Develop and implement safety and crisis management procedures in collaboration with
the Head of School.
- Oversee extracurricular activities, student leadership programs, and school-wide
initiatives that align with the school’s mission.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- A strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a passion for Christian education.
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching and/or administrative experience in a middle or high
school setting.
- A heart for mentoring and equipping teachers to provide transformative, faith-based
education.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with student discipline, conflict resolution, and fostering a redemptive school
culture.
- Ability to inspire students and staff to embrace Valor’s core distinctives.
- Highly organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities with grace.
Work Environment & Expectations:
- Full-time, on-campus position with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities.
- Reports to the Head of School and collaborates with department chairs, faculty, and
student support teams.
- Expected to model Christ-like character, professionalism, and servant leadership at all
times.
