Employment Type : Full-time, in-person lead teaching position for the 2025-2026 school year.
Salary : $55,000 to $77,000 for certified teachers based on years of K-12 teaching experience; $44,520 to begin for pre-licensure candidates without an active TN license.

Your Role as a Teacher :
Planning & Instruction :
Most teach 4 classes daily in one content area; all teachers have 2 planning periods dailyPlan and lead 1 Intervention Block or Study Hall dailyManage and oversee VCP's yearbook, which may involve working with students during class and outside of schoolPlan and prepare daily lessons and materials in alignment with Valor’s curriculum and TN State StandardsUtilize school-wide tracking and tech systems to collect, enter, and analyze students’ academic and behavioral data dailyEnsure both academic and behavioral gradebooks are maintained with accurate information, in accordance with school-wide deadlines and policyActively engage in and prepare for weekly 1 : 1 coaching and weekly intellectual preparation (IP) meetingsSchool-Based Duties & Faculty Engagement
Enforce, uphold, and exhibit school’s values, student management policies, and culture systemsOwn an arrival, recess or lunch, transition, or dismissal duty dailyParticipate in school events that occur outside of normal school hours, such as parent-teacher conferences, signature experiences, field trips, IEP meetings, report card conferences, and new student orientation. Estimated time commitment per school year is approximately 25 hours.Engage in ongoing professional development, which includes attending 3 weeks of faculty training in July 2025 and weekly PL sessions throughout the school yearParticipate in faculty Circle on Wednesdays after school, and complete and present 2 pieces of faculty Badge Work per school yearStudent Mentorship & Circle Facilitation
Serve in the capacity of a “Mentor” and lead daily lessons and activities to support scholars’ social-emotional developmentPlan, prepare, and lead student Circles weekly; provide coaching of students regarding Badge Work and their Circle presentationsTrack and input student behavior feedback through Kickboard to share with families, school leaders, and culture teamWhat We Offer :
