What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metal Building Erector position at Valor Contracting?

OUR OPPORTUNITY:
Valor Contracting is currently looking for a skilled, experienced Metal Building Erector Crew Member to join our group. As a Metal Building Erector Crew Member for our company, you would be responsible for:
- Erecting structural steel members, bar joists, and decking
- Erecting pre-engineered metal buildings including structural steel, wall panels, and standing seam roof panels.
- Operating boom lift and extendable forklift
- Reading blueprints to determine layout, quantities, and sizes of material
- Additional duties as assigned
To excel in this role, an individual will need to:
- Have previous experience on construction job-sites
- Have forklift operation experience (preferred, not required)
- Be familiar with hand-held tools and equipment
- Have reliable transportation to and from the job-site
- Enjoy working outside, in all weather conditions
- Be able to lift and carry 50-75 pounds
- Be able to lift, maneuver and climb varied size ladders, including 30 ft expandable ladders, and follow all ladder and roof safety compliance measures
- Be physically agile and able to work in tight spaces, extreme heights, and/or extreme temperatures
- Be responsible, accountable, dedicated, punctual, professional and dependable
