Position Summary
In this role, you will be working as a contractor for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) with the ICE Health Services Corps (IHSC). As a Behavioral Health Provider (BHP), you will serve as a subject matter expert in mental health and substance use disorder.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direction and oversight to multi-disciplinary teams in implementing and managing integrated mental health treatment programs.
- Provide direct care to patients within your scope of practice and perform functions according to current accepted practice, licensure, certification, credentialing, and granted privileges.
- Develop, manage, and monitor patient treatment plans in coordination with behavioral health technicians to assess patient level of functioning and progress.
- May be expected to provide telehealth services based on patient needs and healthcare situation.
- Provide brief counseling, psychotherapy, group therapy, behavioral analysis, and substance abuse education, as required by ICE Residential and Detention Standards.
- Serves as a mental health consultant to other health professionals at the facility.
- Develops training/clinical education materials as required and provides clinical education and training to medical, ICE, and contract staff.
Requirements
- Hold a full, current, and unrestricted license at the Doctoral level for the independent practice of Psychology issued by the state of practice.
- Meet requirements for inclusion in the National Registry of Psychologist Providers.
- Minimum of one-year experience as a Psychologist.
