**Job Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Behavioral Health Provider (BHP). As a licensed independent clinical psychologist, you will serve as a subject matter expert in mental health and substance use disorder treatment.
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of skill in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental health concerns, including serious mental illness or serious mental disorders (SMI/SMD).
You will conduct mental health evaluations to enhance behavioral health treatment plan development and services for detainees with SMI/SMD. This includes referral to acute and/or inpatient mental health care as clinically determined.
In addition to direct mental services, you will provide on-site counseling, individual and group psychotherapy within diverse therapeutic modalities, substance abuse education, and behavioral analysis for detainees identified with mental health and substance use problems.
You will also conduct specialized programming within a Modified Therapeutic Treatment Community model. Additionally, you will consult with medical, contract staff, and other healthcare professionals to conduct and provide education and training on continuity of care, treatment, monitoring, and management of patients with co-occurring diagnoses.
This is a full-time position requiring availability to work day shift as well as some weekends and holidays. You will receive excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage. Generous PTO including vacation, sick, paid holidays, and personal time.
You will be responsible for providing direction and oversight to a multi-disciplinary team in the implementation and management of an integrated mental health treatment program.
Responsibilities include providing direct care to patients within your scope of practice, performing functions in accordance with current accepted practice, licensure, certification, credentialing, and privileges.
You will develop, manage, and monitor patient treatment plans in coordination with behavioral health technicians to assess patient level of functioning and progress.
May be expected to provide telehealth services based on patient needs and healthcare situation. If providing tele-behavioral health services for patients at other IHSC facilities as needed and as the local facility allows, only in the states the provider is licensed.
The ideal candidate will have experience implementing and managing a new mental health treatment program and/or a Modified Therapeutic Community treatment model. Experience in a detention/correctional or residential healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
