Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, reconciling transactions, and ensuring accurate reporting of financial data related to payment processing, merchant accounts, and transaction settlements. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, payment processing fees, chargebacks, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy in merchant transactions and fee deductions.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and transactions.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy.
• Track merchant residual payments, reconciling them against partner agreements.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary financial data.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards, such as PCI-DSS and IRS 1099-K reporting for merchants.
• Process payroll and ensure timely salary disbursement.
• Maintain employee expense records and reimbursements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5 years in general accounting, payments industry experience a plus.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Strong Excel skills for financial analysis and reconciliation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

This position offers a salary within the range of USD $80,000-95,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package including:
