Position Overview
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs (Individual Education Programs) and work with 504s for students
- Adapt lessons to particular student needs and assess their ongoing development
- Teach students individually or in small groups according to need for growth
- Clear communication with school leaders, teachers, and families about individual student's progress and ways to assist student growth
- Other roles and duties as assigned
- Familiarity with needs and responsibilities to teach students with dyslexia
- Texas Teaching Certificate with Reading Specialist Certification or certification in a multi-sensory structured language program for dyslexia (i.e. Wilson, Take Flight, Barton, Reading by Design, MTA, etc.)
- Knowledge of dyslexia and instruction of students identified with dyslexia and related needs
