Position: Maintenance Technician II

Key Responsibilities:
- Support Lean 5S initiatives to achieve a workplace that is clean, uncluttered, safe, and well organized to help reduce waste and optimize productivity
- Maintain professionalism when working independently and/or with a team
- Perform general maintenance such as cleaning machines during PM’s, changing filters, cleaning dust collectors, pulling wire
- Safely perform occasional MIG or TIG welding
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment
- Demonstrate continued proficiency in CMMS software and Microsoft Suite
- Perform basic general building maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, grounds keeping
- Perform general equipment maintenance including preventative maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and working on and around machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical supply circuits and motors up to 480VAC, including fuse/ breaker replacement, termination points and electrical switchgear
- Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical control circuits
- Troubleshoot and repair/replace single phase, three phase and DC motors up to 230V
- Conduit bending and installation (EMT, PVC, BX cable)
- Accurately perform basic electrical wire sizing and number of conductor calculations
- Repair compressed air sources and hydraulic systems
- Complete general construction and fabrication tasks requiring carpentry, plumbing, roofing, etc.
- Read/interpret advanced technical manuals and assembly instructions
- Read/interpret basic electrical schematics and one-line electrical drawings
- Skillfully use common electrical test equipment (multimeters, ammeters, megohmmeters)
- Cordially monitor outside contractors working on premises
- Predictive maintenance on various industrial equipment comprised of ball bar testing, vibration analysis, and thermographic inspection
- Use precision measuring equipment (calipers, ID/OD micrometers, etc.) responsibly
- Install and program PLC (programmable logic controller) modules
- Upskill, mentor and train Level I technicians
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder
- Must pass initial and subsequent background checks
- Must pass pre-employment and subsequent drug screenings
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain eligibility to drive fleet
- Multiple years of experience working in industrial maintenance or related field in a similar role
- Maintain Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives “Employee Possessor” eligibility
- Must be able to work in an environment containing devices that may interfere with the operation of a pacemaker
- Pass a respirator fit test as needed to successfully perform essential job functions
- Obtain confined space certification as needed to successfully perform essential job functions
- Obtain and maintain Valor’s internal forklift/PIT operator training throughout employment
Physical Requirements:

The position will remain open through March 5, 2025, and a current employee is expected to be promoted into this role.
