Job Summary : The Senior Inventory Analyst is responsible for include forecasting demands, monitoring stock levels and identifying trends to prevent overstock or shortages. Work with the procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure inventory needs are met. Utilize inventory management software to track and adjust inventory needs and research inventory discrepancies.” The Inventory Analyst will be expected to communicate effectively and use their logical judgments, especially when dealing with adjustments and meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support Lean 5S initiatives to achieve a workplace that is clean, uncluttered, safe, and well organized to help reduce waste and optimize productivity
- Proficiently utilize ERP software to manage procurement functions
- Analyze inventory to develop and maintain procedures for adequate inventory levels.
- Ensure materials needs for production is actively / correctly managed to meet daily demands and production schedules.
- Identify solutions to dispose of and / or sell obsolete items in inventory.
- Monitoring current stock levels and adjusting reorder points to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Generating reports on inventory performance, including cost analysis, stock turnover, and inventory discrepancies
- Analyze inventory data to identify areas for cost reduction, like optimizing storage space or reducing excess inventory
- Implement strategies like just-in-time inventory, safety stock management, and replenishment planning
- Maintain productivity while working independently and / or within a group to meet project deadlines, efficiently adapt to changing conditions
- Assist with conducting inventory audits and provide advance notice regarding prior commitments when audits are scheduled
- Work directly with other teams including quality, engineering, shipping, and purchasing
- Work with inventory team to assist in meeting daily, monthly reporting / GFM reporting demands, schedules and audit support
- Ensures that physical inventory and cycle counts are accurate and are completed regularly and in a timely manner
- Regularly conduct “cycle counts” on the entire inventory and provides reports to management
- Exhibit professionalism and attention to detail in all tasks
- Other duties as assigned
