General Description :
The Content Tutor cooperatively assists students with various healthcare subjects including but not limited to math, sciences, and writing (as feasible) through instruction and implementing study skills.
Duties and Tasks :
- Provide tutoring assistance to students as needed
- Assist ASC Manager in forming specialized study groups as need arises
- Assign software programs to assist students in various academic programs
- Distribute information leading to academic improvement
- Consult with faculty regarding center’s resources
- Research current list of useful Internet resources for student and faculty use
- Work closely with Tutoring Services Coordinator, academic discipline faculty and staff, and Student Services faculty and staff to provide optimal services to students
- Provide tutoring services orientation for any willing faculty member
Employees must reside in Virginia, Maryland, or the District of Columbia.
