Valid state teacher license preferred
Previous coaching experience
Knowledge and background (technical, tactical, managerial, interpersonal skills)

Job Goal : To carry out the aims and objectives of the VEX V5 Robot Challenge program as outlined by the school administration, the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, and the TechPoint Foundation for Youth (when applicable).
Job Description :
To instruct student members in individual and team fundamentals, strategy, and practice necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
Help students learn the iterative process and apply mathematical thinking, scientific thinking, and creative thinking processes to solve problems.
Provide instruction that will lead to formation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence. Expectations :
Maintain high standards as a teacher while advocating the skills, mission, and objectives of the District.
Promote sportsmanship, be understanding and fair, and put integrity ahead of winning.
Effectively communicate with players, teachers, media, administrators, parents, and other groups within the community.
Facilitate the practices necessary in order for the team to experience a level of success.
Facilitate the organization of the competition for the team (register with REC, hold team tryouts and practice, order team shirts, sign-up for competition, organize transportation to the event, provide a celebration, collect permission slips, etc.)
Other duties assigned by the principal.
