The Exercise Center Attendant supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This part-time position supports the Wellness team with welcoming and engaging facility users.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Greet and engage facility users. Maintain high visibility in the Wellness Center area; conduct periodic walk-throughs.
• Must be willing to earn and maintain American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification (Certification will be provided by the YMCA upon hire)
• Enforce Wellness Center policies.
• Provide equipment orientation and timely follow-up.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of environment.
• Adhere to emergency procedures and safety precautions. Follow procedures for reporting all accidents, incidents and hazards.
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations. Obtain and maintain required training(s).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 16 years of age
CPR and First Aid certified – (Will be provided by the YMCA upon hire)
Experience in the health and fitness field preferred
Use of a variety of fitness equipment
SALARY:
Minimum starting rate of $13 an hour
Starting rate based on experience
Shift differential of $1 for qualifying shifts
SCHEDULE:
Part-time all year around (29 hrs per week)
Monday 7-10pm
Friday 7-10pm
Every other Sunday 10:45a-2:30p.
Subbing is required as needed.
