This is a part-time position, with additional hours available at the Member Services Desk.
Hours available: Daytimes, evenings, and weekends
Salary: $11 and hour. Certain work shifts have a wage premium.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Control access to the facility.
1. Greet all persons entering facility.
2. Control facility access by members and guests while following department procedures.
3. Advise members of access system alerts and direct to appropriate staff for further assistance.
4. Continuously monitor entrances and access control area and take action to assure the safety of children under the age of 10 who may be exiting or in the facility unaccompanied by an adult.
5. Notify Property department staff of deliveries and maintenance issues.
6. Contact assigned staff to provide building tours.
7. Adhere to work schedule and substitute for others when needed.
8. Follow emergency procedures and safety precautions. Follow procedures for reporting all accidents, incidents and hazards.
9. Adhere to all policies, rules, and regulations as outlined in employee handbook and other communications. Obtain and maintain required training(s).
10. Accept additional assignments as deemed appropriate, within the scope of the job description.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum age 16 years of age.
Previous customer service experience preferred.
Ability to stay focused at desk environment for long periods of time.
CPR and First Aid training within the first 45 days of employment. Training provided on site.
