Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Events and Operations, the Admission Volunteer Coordinator is vital in strengthening the connection between the University and its alumni and parent community by engaging them in recruitment initiatives. This position is responsible for building and managing a network of enthusiastic volunteers who support efforts to recruit high school students, share their experiences, and inspire the next generation of students to choose the University.
The Admission Volunteer Coordinator works closely with the Valparaiso University Career and Alumni Network, organizing and coordinating both in-person and virtual special events for high-level volunteers. Communicating with alums, vendors, and other Valpo staff is a significant job responsibility. This position requires close attention to detail, so organization is essential.
The position will collaborate to support the Admission teams and campus partners (Undergraduate Admission, Graduate Enrollment, Advancement, Academic Colleges, etc.) to provide prospective visitors with the best Valpo experience. This role will manage invitations, communications, and registration forms and materials.
Major Responsibilities :
Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement
- Identify, recruit, and onboard alums and parents to serve as volunteer ambassadors.
- Organize training sessions to equip volunteers with the tools and knowledge to represent the University effectively.
- Foster strong relationships with volunteers through regular communication, recognition, and engagement opportunities.

Salary Range :
This position will be located at 1700 Chapel Drive, Valparaiso, IN, or it may be a remote or hybrid position based on a supervisor's determination if the position is offered and your hiring is approved.
