What are the responsibilities and job description for the Energy Project Lead position at Valta Energy?
**Job Purpose:**
Project Manager to lead the development and execution of commercial and industrial-scale renewable energy projects in Southern California.This role requires a proactive individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality projects and fostering strong client relationships in the renewable energy sector.
The ideal candidate will be working in the Dana Point or Ontario office 2x a week and onsite at projects in the LA metro area at least 1x per week.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, ensuring consistent, timely, and high-quality project execution.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to clients throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining trust and satisfaction.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of deliverables with permitting agencies, interconnection utilities, site hosts, design professionals, and internal project controls to advance projects to the construction phase.
- Manage resource allocation, scheduling, contracting, budgeting, and quality control throughout all construction phases.
- Ensure smooth project closeouts, including thorough testing, commissioning, quality assurance, and final energization for delivery to the project owner.
- Maintain and monitor project schedules, budgets, submittals, RFIs, and other deliverables to achieve milestones and maintain key performance metrics.
- Provide regular reporting, including weekly updates, look-ahead schedules, critical path analyses, and milestone projections.
- Collaborate with procurement, financing, accounting, and other internal teams to ensure seamless material and resource flow.
- Work closely with subcontractors to develop accurate estimates, contracts, scopes of work, and project deliverables.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, organization, problem-solving and technical proficiency to drive project success.
