What are the responsibilities and job description for the Career Material Handler position at Valtir LLC?
Valtir is searching for Material Handler team members in our Orangeburg, SC plant. As a Highway Guardrail Manufacturer team member, you will perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
Monday-Thursday 5:00AM-3:30PM overtime as needed Friday and or Saturday.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Utilize industrial forklift to move and load materials safely and efficiently.
- Maintain shipping records and documentation, including tracking numbers and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts as needed.
- Perform monthly cycle counts.
- All duties assigned by Shipping Manager.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Work Environment
- Work in a manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled.
- The job is a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the plant.
- Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing and steel-toed shoes.
- Attendance and showing up to work on time are important to the success of the plant. Dependable job attendance is expected.
