Valtir is hiring a Lead Equipment Operator to support our Fort Worth, TX manufacturing facility.

The Lead Equipment Operator trains and leads department equipment operators. Monitors the efficiency of machine operations. Ability to operate all machines in the department. Complies with all safety rules and procedures. Maintains and completes all required records.
Location: Ft. Worth, TX
Starting rate $21.50 - $32 per hour!
Full-time: M-F, 6am to 4:30pm
What you’ll do:
- Leads team by assigning tasks
- Assist in completion of all task to meet deadlines
- Maintains and improves quality
- Trains and ensures safety of team members
- Trains equipment operators on the proper use of equipment and materials. Instruct operators on new equipment;
- Monitors equipment operators at work for safety, efficiency and productivity. Checks machine operations to ensure minimal waste and optimal quality.
- Reads parts drawings and blueprints.
- Performs machine setups on complex equipment. Troubleshoots and corrects (non-maintenance) machining problems.
- Performs machine operation to produce parts according to specifications.
- Performs general housekeeping/clean up in assigned work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need:
- Completion of a standard high school education or the equivalent or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- 5 years of experience (preferred)
- Work requires the ability to read blueprints and shop orders, and to write in order to complete standard records.
- Must have knowledge and ability to set up, troubleshoot, and operate complex machines.
- Must be licensed to operate a forklift.
- Must have the ability to train other employees and lead work activities.
- Ability to function as a team leader and member.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
