Job Summary
Valtronic Technologies (USA), Inc is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility. The ideal candidate will help to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and efficient processes while driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with proven leadership skills who can effectively manage resources, improve processes, and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all manufacturing operations, including production, supply chain, and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO 13485 standards, and any other industry requirements for medical device manufacturing.
- Develop and implement operational strategies, budgets, and resource allocation plans to meet company goals.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain product quality.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and other departments to ensure seamless product development and production.
- Manage vendor relationships and supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Monitor KPI’s to track operational performance and drive data-based decision-making.
- Communicates effectively across all levels of the organization regarding strategy, risks, and opportunities. Identifies and proposes solutions for mitigating risk or improving product and/or process.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field is required.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in operations management within the medical device industry or a regulated manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing cross-functional teams and driving operational improvements.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational methodologies.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facility.
