VAD is currently seeking a Warehouse Associate at our Richmond, VA Branch.
Responsibilities:
- Provide fast and friendly customer service to both internal and external customers
- Handle incoming and outgoing inventory, including unloading trucks, receiving materials, performing quality inspections, and putting away stock.
- Pick, stage, and load customer orders with attention to accuracy and damage prevention.
- Service customers at the Will Call counter, ensuring prompt and accurate order fulfillment.
- Process warehouse transfers, UPS shipments, and incoming deliveries.
- Perform monthly cycle counts, maintain accurate bin locations, and support overall inventory organization.
- Complete required paperwork accurately, including freight bills, hazmat forms, and other documentation.
- Support local deliveries as needed and assist with customer pickups.
- Achieve established productivity goals while maintaining attention to detail and efficiency.
- Comply with all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards to ensure a clean, neat, and organized warehouse.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent attitude and commitment to superior customer service.
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience, including RF scanners.
- Forklift experience with certification preferred.
- Familiarity with HVAC products, parts, and supplies, or experience in the building industry.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
