The Role
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features tailored for Capital Markets, with a focus on Equity and Front Office systems.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and design documents.
- Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness by conducting code reviews and implementing best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications to improve performance and user experience.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development, particularly within the financial domain.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10 years of professional experience in Java development, with a strong emphasis on Microservices and Spring Boot.
- Solid understanding of Capital Markets, specifically in Equity and Front Office functionalities.
- Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Prefered, but not required:
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
