Responsibilities: - Design and deliver a comprehensive science curriculum that integrates NGSS, ensuring students engage with science in a hands-on, inquiry-based manner that emphasizes real-world applications. - Implement instructional strategies that foster the development of scientific practices, crosscutting concepts, and disciplinary core ideas among middle school students, as outlined by the NGSS. - Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to explore, question, and investigate scientific phenomena, promoting a culture of curiosity and lifelong learning. - Employ a variety of teaching tools, including technology and multimedia, to enhance learning experiences and make scientific concepts accessible and engaging for all students. - Conduct ongoing assessments to evaluate student progress in alignment with NGSS expectations, providing timely feedback and adapting instructional approaches to meet diverse learning needs. - Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their children's progress, highlighting achievements and providing strategies for supporting science learning outside of the classroom. -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Science Education, or a closely related field. - Valid teaching credential or certification for the state of [Your State], with an endorsement in Science if required, and familiarity with NGSS.
