Job Description:
Backend service development for Venmo one identity project to help with Profile Management services
We are seeking a skilled Java Application Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, integration, and maintenance of complex back-end applications. In this role, you will be responsible for the full application lifecycle, from gathering specifications to performance testing and documentation, ensuring all work adheres to agreed standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop new programs and modify existing ones based on supplied specifications.
• Integrate applications and perform user testing to ensure performance and reliability.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
• Develop applications using Object-Oriented Design techniques and design patterns.
• Write and maintain code in Java, with a strong focus on core Java language expertise.
• Utilize XML in conjunction with Java applications.
• Work with Java server-side technologies, including Web Services, JMS, JDBC, EJB, and J2EE containers.
• Employ SQL and manage database connectivity.
• Leverage Java interface technologies like JSP, JSTL, Swing, HTML, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Use Java Open-Source frameworks such as JUnit, Ant, Struts, Hibernate, and Spring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality solutions.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Proven experience with Java application development and a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design.
• Expertise in core Java, including server-side technologies and frameworks.
• Solid experience with SQL, JDBC, and database interactions.
• Familiarity with Java UI technologies like JSP, JSTL, Swing, and JavaScript frameworks (AJAX).
• Experience with open-source tools and frameworks such as JUnit, Hibernate, Spring, and Struts.
• Experience working with Web Services, JMS, and EJB is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with .NET core libraries and technologies.
• Familiarity with XML in .NET applications.
• Knowledge of C# and .NET frameworks, including ASP.NET, Windows Forms, ADO.NET, and MS Office integration.
