What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Quality and infection Control, Survey Readiness, Materials Coordinator position at ValueHealth?
The main focus will be on assisting in the development and implementation of policies that govern the control of infections and communicable diseases. You'll also be responsible for developing a system for identifying, reporting, investigating, and controlling infections and communicable diseases among patients and personnel. Another key responsibility will be chairing the quarterly MEC/QAPI meetings, ensuring they are conducted effectively and all necessary topics are covered. It's also essential to keep the center current on CMS regulations, ensuring we are always in compliance with the latest standards and requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited nursing program
- License as a registered nurse in the state of Minnesota
- Minimum of three years of work experience as a staff nurse.
- Computer skills in EMRs, Word and PowerPoint
Essential Functions
1. Accepts accountability for the progress and development of the Organization’s Infection Prevention and Control Program.
2. Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers.
3. Maintains and promotes professional competence by participating in and organizing continuing education and other learning experiences relating to infection control.
4. Develops and recommends effective data collection and evaluation systems to monitor infection control, monitoring to improve patient care and to reduce the risk of infections.
5. Oversees the implementation and monitoring of the employee health program and compliance to annual testing and or/vaccinations.
6. Infection Control and Prevention Compliance.
7. Shall maintain a log of incidents related to infections and communicable disease and shall report outcome of incidents to QAPI Committee.
8. Maintains current knowledge of CDC, APIC, OSHA and State Regulations as they pertain to the Infection Control Program and modifies program according to updates.
9. Reports communicable diseases according to regulations.
10. Facilitates quarterly Infection Control Committee Meeting by preparing agenda, reports, and attachments. Completes meeting minutes and distributes to appropriate departments and individuals.
