Lead Data Architect (AWS & Snowflake)
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Lead Data Architect with deep expertise in AWS and Snowflake to join our Engineering Center. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge data solutions and accelerators for multiple business units, with a primary focus on the Property & Casualty (P&C) domain . You will lead technical initiatives, deliver Proofs of Concept (POCs), provide thought leadership on data strategies, frameworks, AI adoption (especially in claims and underwriting), and best practices in data engineering . The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience, multiple certifications, and a proven track record of staying ahead of evolving data trends.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical Leadership & Strategy
Serve as the primary technical authority on AWS and Snowflake solutions, guiding strategy and best practices.
Architect data platforms and modern analytics solutions leveraging AWS services (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift) and Snowflake.
Design and develop accelerators and reusable frameworks for rapid solution deployment.
Champion Data Governance , Master Data Management (MDM) , Data Quality , and Data Observability best practices.
Define and execute data modernization strategies, ensuring seamless migration from legacy systems to modern data platforms.
Conduct regular architecture reviews of projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and compliance with security, scalability, and performance requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers, data scientists, business stakeholders) to ensure the successful delivery of data initiatives.
Oversee and optimize AWS and Snowflake usage across multiple accounts and regions , ensuring cost efficiency, security, and high availability.
Remain up to date on industry trends, new AWS services, Snowflake features, and other emerging technologies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
Expert-level proficiency in AWS (EC2, S3, Glue, EMR, Redshift, Lambda, IAM, etc.) and Snowflake (data warehousing, performance tuning, security).
AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional).
Proven experience implementing Data Governance frameworks, MDM solutions, and Data Quality practices.
Strong communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
