Development Manager to take full ownership of our exhaust system development process. This is a critical and highly specialized role requiring extensive industry experience, technical expertise, and an obsession with quality and innovation.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced professional who can oversee the entire process of exhaust system development—from initial concept and design to final production and retail-ready inventory. This role demands deep knowledge of exhaust manufacturing, materials science, and supplier coordination. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, experience with fabrication, and an in-depth understanding of various vehicle exhaust valve configurations. Additionally, this person will be responsible for reaching out and finding enthusiasts to bring their cars in for development and managing the schedule of new exhaust system development projects from start to finish. Strong organizational skills are essential. Additionally, familiarity with Mandarin is a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full lifecycle development of exhaust systems, from concept to production.
• Work closely with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Utilize CAD software to design and refine exhaust components with precision.
• Develop and implement manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and durability.
• Ensure the highest quality standards through rigorous quality assurance and quality control measures.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, supply chain, and marketing, to ensure seamless integration of new products.
• Conduct material analysis and select appropriate materials based on performance, durability, and cost-efficiency.
• Apply knowledge of high-temperature coatings and thermal management solutions for performance applications.
• Oversee prototype fabrication and testing to validate designs and functionality.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
• Identify and engage automotive enthusiasts to bring their vehicles in for exhaust system development.
• Manage and maintain the schedule of exhaust system development projects, ensuring efficiency and timely execution.
• Direct internal team members on project priorities to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• This role does not involve hands-on fabrication or manufacturing but requires strong oversight and direction of the team handling production.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in exhaust system design and manufacturing.
• Previous experience at an exhaust manufacturing company is a must.
• Strong understanding of vehicle exhaust systems, valve configurations, and performance tuning.
• Understanding of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) for design and engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of fabrication processes, including welding, bending, and CNC machining.
• Expertise in materials selection and manufacturing techniques.
• Familiarity with high-temperature coatings and their application in exhaust systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to quality control and assurance.
• Strong ability to manage supplier relationships and oversee procurement of components.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects effectively.
• Mandarin language skills are required due to supplier interactions.
