Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in a nursing home setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage and coordinate the daily operations of the facility. The Director of Nursing will oversee all aspects of patient care, ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care possible.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including shift management and staff scheduling.
- Conduct regular rounds to ensure that patients are receiving quality care and that the facility is meeting the highest standards of care.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Review and approve all nursing documentation to ensure that it is accurate, complete, and compliant with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage and maintain all nursing systems and equipment to ensure that they are functioning properly and are up to date.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
- Participate in facility-wide committees and initiatives to promote quality care and improve patient outcomes.
- Manage and budget for the nursing department, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and effectively.
- Provide orientation and training to new staff members to ensure that they are knowledgeable and proficient in their roles.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff to promote professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state where the facility is located.
- A Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Prior Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Health experience.
- Prior Inpatient Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Health leadership experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $111,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
