Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of patient care, including anatomy knowledge and diagnostic evaluation skills. This role involves working closely with patients, particularly those with developmental disabilities, in both inpatient settings and through travel nursing opportunities. The Nurse will be responsible for ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and performing essential medical procedures such as IV insertion and phlebotomy.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Provide care to patients who are receiving or donating organs, assisting in every phase of organ and tissue donation
- Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures when necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
- Support patients with developmental disabilities by providing tailored care strategies.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
- Must have Masters degree (education preferred) , BLS, & Minimum 5 years of acute care nursing experience.
- 3 yrs of Kidney Transplant Coordinator experience
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Must have at least 1 yr of supervisory experience
