Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine health status and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient evaluations.
- Administer injections and other necessary treatments as required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care in hospital settings, including ICU and hospital medicine.
- Monitor patients for signs of infection and implement appropriate infection control measures.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
- Manage acute pain effectively through appropriate interventions.
- Participate in hospice palliative care initiatives, ensuring compassionate end-of-life care for patients.
Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure.
- Experience in hospital settings, particularly with NICU Level III, IV
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
