Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality imaging while providing exceptional patient care. The Ultrasonographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
Duties
- Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, and vascular studies.
- Collaborate with physicians to determine the appropriate imaging techniques and protocols based on patient needs.
- Evaluate ultrasound images for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Provide clear explanations to patients regarding the ultrasound process and address any concerns they may have.
- Assist in cardiac catheterization procedures as needed, demonstrating knowledge of cardiology practices.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved program of Ultrasound/Sonography, or equivalent. - Required.
- Licenses: ARDMS and RVT Registered or if new graduate, must be ARDMS eligible and pass a test in at least one area (ie Abdomen, OBGYN) including physics within one year of employment and pass the RVT exam within 18 months of employment.
- NM license to practice as a Sonographer.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills for interpreting ultrasound results accurately.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
