Associate Brand Manager - US DIY Marketing will be responsible for driving brand strategy and growth plans within our core lubricant portfolio. This role will report to the North America Motor Oils Brand Manager and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including Sales, Product Strategy and Management, Brand Management, Category Management, and Media Strategy & Planning. The Associate Brand Manager will also play a key role in ensuring a strong execution of marketing programs across national accounts, support and collaborate with the Trade Marketing team, and help shape plans that drive consistent, profitable growth aligned with overall business objectives.

How You’ll Make An Impact
Associate Brand Manager - US DIY Marketing will be responsible for driving brand strategy and growth plans within our core lubricant portfolio. This role will report to the North America Motor Oils Brand Manager and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including Sales, Product Strategy and Management, Brand Management, Category Management, and Media Strategy & Planning. The Associate Brand Manager will also play a key role in ensuring a strong execution of marketing programs across national accounts, support and collaborate with the Trade Marketing team, and help shape plans that drive consistent, profitable growth aligned with overall business objectives.
In Addition, They Will Be Responsible For The Following
- Know and help lead the core lubricant business, guiding the organization toward the right strategies and plans to win in the category.
- Publish best-in-class monthly letters that outline key market results, drivers, and recommended actions, along with driving those recommendations through execution
- Lead business review and brand planning, driving OGSM priorities and initiatives.
- Ensure Valvoline has the right portfolio, distribution, pricing, and promotion to consistently grow volume, profit, and share.
- Collaborate with PS&M to maintain Initiative Master Plans, ensuring sufficient innovation over the next 3-5 years to deliver the Valvoline Global Long Range Plan.
- Lead line reviews and customer account meetings with Sales counterparts for core lubricant portfolios, enabling data-based selling stories that grow our Valvoline share of shelf year vs. PY (including National Meeting content, trade show assets, etc.).
- Liaison with and coach members of the Trade Marketing team, driving a positive team culture and individual professional growth.
- Own select creative and paid marketing partnerships across the Valvoline product portfolio
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-4 years of brand management, leading brand planning and execution, with a track record of delivering top and bottom-line growth
- Strong visionary, strategic, and courageous leadership skills to manage up, down, and across the organization
- Strong analytical thinking, and business mindset. Possesses the ability to turn insights into clear recommendations and action
- Ability to drive innovation, connect with consumers, and develop long-term brand equity
- A strong attention to detail with an inquisitive thirst to learn more and seek the truth
- Team-oriented with strong communication abilities and willingness to share ideas for diverse input and perspective
- Passion for Brand building
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Experience successfully leading CPG trade marketing programs and initiatives
