Opportunity
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for optimising supply chains and driving operational excellence? Join our team as a Logistics Manager and provide strategic leadership across our ANZ warehousing and logistics operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing logistics operations and tracking inventory to ensure a safe, compliant and efficient workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the safe and compliant operation of warehousing and distribution activities across all Valvoline products.
- Manage stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs to drive efficiency whilst meeting service levels.
- Work with warehouses and transport companies to ensure that products are delivered on time, in good condition and within budget.
- Develop strategic plans, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to track and improve distribution activities.
- Manage Freight Management system, ensuring all transporters details and freight rates are up to date.
- Lead and manage the freight strategy optimization programs to maximize freight value for the company while ensuring customer needs are met.
- Ensure adherence to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards and practices.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
- Take ownership of supply chain from the time goods leave the Plant site until delivery.
- Partner with other departments to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.
- Ensure all staff are trained in the necessary local and national regulatory requirements.
- Uphold the Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
To be successful, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a warehouse and logistics management position
- Formal OHS certification or training, desirable
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Familiarity with freight management systems
- OHS experience is essential
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
- A results-driven mindset with a focus on operational efficiency
- The ability to be computer savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
