Opportunity
At Valvoline, safety is more than a priority-it’s at the heart of everything we do. Our commitment to creating a safe, healthy and supportive workplace is unwavering, and we are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking WHS Advisor to join our team in Wetherill Park.
The ideal candidate will be a safety professional who can drive a positive safety culture, inspire engagement at all levels, and take a hands-on approach to identifying and managing risks.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and implement WHS policies and procedure to ensure compliance and regulations
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification to prevent injuries
- Maintain business and compliance reporting
- Lead investigations into incidents, identify root causes and develop action plans
- Coach, educate and build capability of leaders to take ownership of safety in their respective areas
- Provide health and safety expertise for key site projects and change management activities.
- Develop and maintain occupational health and safety systems, including policies, procedures, and manuals
- Manage the Chain of Responsibility program ensuring adherence to all regulations and laws
To be successful, you will have:
- Relevant University or TAFE Education preferably Occupational Health and Safety
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant industry role
- First aid and return to work certificate
- A proactive mindset with a passion for safety
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence staff at all levels
- Embodies the three virtues to be an ideal team player: hungry, humble and smart
- The ability to be computer savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
