The Opportunity
As an Employee Relations Business Partner you will focus on fostering a positive and productive work environment, resolving employee relations issues, including complaint management and conflict resolution. You will make a difference every day by ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
How You'll Make a Difference
Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as an Employee Relations Business Partner. We whole-heartedly adopt a ‘never idle' mindset. We also know that outstanding service begins and ends with our employees. In this role, you will:
- Receive reports and handle initial Employee Relations intakes and assessments, documenting all information gathered
- Deliver Employee Relations consultation services and investigative support
- Evaluate accommodation requests and conduct background screening adjudications
- Help resolve conflict, facilitating discussions between involved parties
- Assist in HR policy development and lead trainings to retail staff on ER/HR procedures, policies, etc.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records while also collecting employee feedback
- Offer guidance, training, and support to retail employees regarding workplace issues, rights, and company policies
- Collaborate with HR and people leaders, monitor compliance, and prepare/present reports to leadership
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Work Experience: 3-5 years in employee relations, human resources, or a related role preferably in a retail environment. Experience in conflict resolution and handling employee complaints
Preferred Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including experience with conflict management
- Proficient with HR technology and software, ER case management systems, and MS Office suite
- Knowledge of labor laws and regulations affecting employee relations, particularly in a retail setting
- Analytical and organization skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously and identify trends
