Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Progressive Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized nursing care for patients in the progressive care unit of a hospital.
Duties
- Monitor and assess patients' progress, recognizing and responding to any changes in their condition
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and adjust patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform various nursing procedures including catheter care, medication administration, and wound care
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention and post-hospital treatment plans
- Assist with discharge planning and coordination of post-hospital care
Qualifications
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center is preferred
- Proficiency in utilizing medical systems for patient documentation
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and documentation requirements
- Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) usage and maintenance
- Understanding of Workers Compensation laws and regulations
- Ability to perform laboratory tests such as Mammography if required
