As Director of Engineering, you will provide strategic direction to engineering teams across multiple sites, ensuring that department goals align with the company's objectives. Overseeing daily operations, you will maintain compliance with quality, safety, and budgetary standards while promoting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Your responsibilities will also include developing and implementing project management strategies to execute projects on time and within budget, from concept to completion.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have at least a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience, coupled with over 10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Your expertise should include strategic planning, engineering operations management, and the ability to lead technical teams effectively. Familiarity with engineering software such as CATIA and SolidWorks is essential, as is a solid understanding of manufacturing processes like CNC machining and welding. Strong communication and presentation skills are critical, as you will frequently interact with both management and customers. Experience with ITAR regulations is required, and knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, is preferred.
