Key Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, processes, and workflows.
- Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives across aerospace and defense production lines.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability of components and assemblies.
- Assist with the design and procurement of tooling and fixtures.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace and defense quality and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Document procedures, process flows, and work instructions.
- Participate in new product introduction and process validation activities.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with aerospace and/or defense manufacturing is required.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and process improvement tools.
Certifications:
- None required, but certifications in Six Sigma, Lean, or related areas are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards.
- Experience with CNC programming, tooling design, or automation.
