What's your day like?

The Master Scheduler at Van-Am Tool & Engineering plays a pivotal role in shaping our manufacturing success. This position involves developing and managing an integrated master schedule for all projects and operations, diligently considering dependencies, constraints, and resource availability. Collaborating closely with the Production Manager, project managers, and departmental heads, the Master Scheduler will ensure that project requirements, objectives, and milestones are clearly defined. Additionally, the role calls for identifying potential risks and conflicts that could impact the schedule, while driving the development of effective mitigation strategies.

Regular updates and maintenance of the master schedule are essential, as is coordination with production staff and procurement to establish accurate start and completion dates. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical skills, ERP proficiency, excellent communication abilities, and attention to detail are crucial for success!

What we're looking for in a Master Scheduler

To excel as a Master Scheduler at Van-Am Tool & Engineering, candidates must possess a robust skill set tailored for the manufacturing industry. A bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field is essential, alongside a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Master Scheduler role or a similar capacity. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are critical, enabling the identification and resolution of scheduling challenges. Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Epicor, along with advanced data analysis and visualization tools like Excel, Tableau, or PowerBI, will greatly enhance the ability to manage complex schedules effectively.

Excellent communication and organizational skills are vital for collaboration with various stakeholders, while a keen attention to detail ensures accuracy in project timelines. Additionally, possessing a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and knowledge of project management methodologies will further position candidates for success in this pivotal manufacturing role.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are :

• Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in business administration

• or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Master Scheduler or in a similar role
• preferably in a manufacturing environment

• proficiency in ERP systems (Epicor is a plus)

• Preferred Qualifications :
