The Business Process Solutions Consultant plays a key role in driving growth through strategic sales and cross-selling efforts across Van Ausdall & Farrar’s diverse technology and service offerings. This individual will focus on selling document conversion services and content management solutions, while also supporting other sales representatives by identifying and developing cross-sale opportunities.
Success in this role requires more than traditional sales tactics. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with a consultative mindset—someone who approaches sales as a way to solve problems, not just close deals. They understand and thrive in long, complex sales cycles (ranging from six months to a year) and have the heart of a teacher, helping clients and teammates alike better understand solutions and value. Building trust, educating others, and aligning solutions with customer needs are at the core of this role.

What You'll Do
- Achieve sales targets through the promotion of document management software, IT solutions, and related services to both new and existing customers.
- Educate clients and colleagues on document conversion and content management solutions, serving as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process.
- Navigate extended sales cycles (6–12 months) with a strategic, persistent, and relationship-focused approach.
- Conduct prospecting activities including cold calls, in-person meetings, and virtual outreach to generate new leads.
- Manage a dynamic sales pipeline and nurture a book of business for sustained, long-term growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across key verticals, including Legal, Finance, Real Estate, Construction, Architecture/Engineering, Education, and Government.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to team-sell copier/print hardware, imaging solutions, and managed IT services.
- Support fellow sales representatives by identifying and developing cross-sale opportunities across Van Ausdall & Farrar’s full suite of offerings.
- Specialize in selling document management services and consultative solutions tailored to client needs.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and provide regular updates through weekly activity reports.
- Participate actively in weekly sales meetings, strategy sessions, and team development opportunities.
What You'll Bring to the Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field
- 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in technology or managed services
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas
- Strong consultative selling skills and a self-starter mentality
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Experience selling SaaS or document management software, preferred
- Knowledge about document conversion/content management, preferred
- Familiarity with copier/print hardware and services, preferred
- Sales certifications or formal sales methodology training (e.g., Sandler, Challenger, etc.), preferred
