Position Summary
The High School Principal assumes leadership and responsibility for the entire school campus to include the planning, directing and coordinating of all academic, administrative, or ancillary activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide professional leadership to organize, administer, supervise and evaluate a comprehensive educational program.
- Promote and protect the welfare and safety of students and staff through management of student supervision.
- Ensure the implementation of a comprehensive, rigorous, and coherent curricular program while providing students with a personalized and engaging learning environment.
- Confer with parents and staff to discuss educational activities, policies and student behavioral or learning issues.
- Effectively evaluate teachers’ classroom management and instructional practices while providing clear feedback and differentiated levels of resources and support.
- Advise district administration of staff needs and participate in the recruitment, employment, assignment, non-renewal, and dismissal of certified and classified personnel.
- Plan and provide professional development for all staff.
- Manage school resources (budgets, personnel, facilities, equipment, etc.) to support student achievement goals and comply with district policies and procedures.
- Enforce and establish disciplinary procedures which allow due process to the rights of students. Familiarize students, staff, and parents with disciplinary policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive school culture by effectively planning and communicating with the school community and all stakeholders.
- Communicate and coordinate with other administrators/directors to effectively direct and evaluate district operational systems.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
Salary : $98,561 - $111,161
