Position SummaryThe Elementary Principal is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the academic, administrative, and ancillary activities of the elementary level school.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the instructional leader of the building and articulate a clear and compelling vision founded in strong and sustainable student achievement outcomes. Manage personnel effectively through appropriate delegation, planning and evaluation. Ensure the development and implementation of a comprehensive, rigorous, and coherent curricular program while providing students with a personalized and engaging learning environment. Confer with parents and staff to discuss educational activities, policies and student behavioral or learning issues. Effectively evaluate teachers classroom management and instructional practices while providing clear feedback and differentiated levels of resources and support. Plan and provide ongoing professional development for all staff. Model and promote the continuous use of data to inform instruction and drive decision-making. Manage school resources (budgets, personnel, facilities, equipment, etc.) to support student achievement goals and comply with district policies and procedures. Foster a positive school culture by effectively planning and communicating with the school community and all stakeholders. Communicate and coordinate with other administrators/directors to strategically manage and assess the effectiveness of district operational systems. Promote and protect the welfare and safety of students and staff. Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.Reports to: Principal/Deputy Superintendent Contract: 240 days
