What to Expect in This Role:π Typical Workday:
- Arrive at the shop yard between 4:45 AM and 7:30 AM (depending on whether the truck needs to be emptied before the first job of the day).
- Gather your tools/equipment and head out to your first scheduled job.
- Use a work-issued tablet to complete each job, check in with the office and fellow drivers as needed.
- Dump the truck at the treatment plant once or twice per day, depending on job volume.
π§ Typical Job Responsibilities:
- Arrive at a customerβs home, introduce yourself, and obtain pre-authorization signatures if needed.
- Be mindful of the customerβs property and yard throughout the service.
- Gather the necessary tools, locate and dig up buried septic tank lids as needed (some may be 2-3 feet deep).
- Run a 30-150 foot vacuum hose and pump out the septic tank.
- Inspect key components of the tank before covering the lids.
- Accurately complete service forms, collect payment, and enter details in the tablet.
- Provide top-notch customer service with a great attitudeβa smile goes a long way!
β Able to use a shovel β Some lids are exposed, but others may require digging up to two feet in rocky soil.
β Comfortable getting a little dirty β Itβs part of the job!
β Physically capable β Must be able to bend, pull, and lift.
β CDL (Class B or Class A) REQUIRED β Tanker endorsement is required or must be obtained.
β Able to drive a manual transmission β Our vacuum trucks are not automatic.
β Reliable transportation β To and from our office in the Fair Oaks/Boerne area.
β Punctual and dependable β Show up on time and be flexible with end times (usually 4-6 PM).
β Professional appearance β Clean and neat.
β Willing to follow company policies and procedures.
π° Competitive Pay β Starting at $24 per hour (higher pay for experience).
π΅ Annual Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000 (based on hours worked).
