Requirements
High school diploma or GED required. Must be able to speak, hear and understand the English language. Must be able to display strong customer service skills and ability to maintain a high level of alertness. Full-time employees are highly encouraged to pass the Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) exam or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) or other equivalent exam within 18 months of hire (optional for part-time and PRN employees).
Minimum of 2 years computerized data entry experience required. Reception or clerical experience at a healthcare setting is preferred. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel, e-mail, and internet/web searches is preferred. 35 wpm typing speed is preferred. Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and public is required. Being able to multitask is very important under stressful situations.
