Licensed Landscape Architect :
VDLA (Van Dyke Landscape Architects) in San Diego, CA is looking for an experienced licensed Landscape Architect with strong design, graphic and project management abilities. Minimum of 5 years project manager experience in a landscape architectural firm to be considered, 8-10 years minimum preferred.
VDLA is an established firm of over 40 years in San Diego. Projects include design of public (Cities / Counties / Federal Gov’t) and private development projects, including libraries, parks & open space, schools, plazas-courtyards, national cemeteries, streetscapes, office / medical / lab buildings or campuses, master planned communities, multi-family, affordable housing and HOA’s. The firm also performs irrigation audits, inspection & peer review / plan check services for public agencies and water districts.
Requirements of the position include skills and expertise in the following areas :
- CA Licensed Landscape Architect, experience in Southern CA preferred
- Creative designer with the ability to communicate ideas verbally and graphically in a variety of scales and project types
- Organization and management of consultant and in-house teams
- Preparation of construction drawings, detailing, materials and specifications writing
- Verbal and written communications, including development of scopes of work and proposals
- Required Software Expertise : AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office; Sketchup and 3D programs desired
