Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled EMT to join our emergency medical services team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in emergency medicine and patient care, demonstrating the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations. As a EMT, you will be responsible for providing basic life support and urgent care to patients in various settings, including transport to a Level I Trauma Center.

Duties

• Assess patients' conditions by performing thorough patient assessments and obtaining vital signs.
• Administer basic life support measures as required.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during patient care.
• Provide emergency medical treatment and transport patients to hospitals.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Perform heavy lifting when necessary, including moving patients and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
• Stay updated on protocols and procedures related to emergency medicine.

Requirements

• Certification as a EMT with relevant state licensure.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to emergency medical care.
• Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced situations.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
• Willingness to engage in continuous education and training to enhance skills.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the role, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Experience working as a EMT is preferred but not required.
