Facility Structural Engineer

Overview:

Leading transportation and freight company is looking for a Facility Structural Engineer for their large campus based in Erie, PA!

For this role, the candidate must be a US Citizen or have their Green Card (permanent residence), and they will provide relocation!

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing the structural expertise at the largest facility.
• Develop customer requirements, generating concept and preliminary designs, putting together cost proposals, milestone schedules, and scope of work documents.
• Work with the indirect sourcing organization to obtain competitive quotes and manage the construction and commissioning phases.
• Provide the engineering design and construction management for the company business initiatives.
• Contribute to customer success by providing an excellent safety environment, high quality, prompt service at a competitive price.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’ degree in structural engineering from an accredited university or college with Professional Engineer certification or path to complete within 6-12 months.
• Minimum of 5 years of Structural or Civil Engineering experience

Preferred:

• Master's degree in engineering or business discipline
• Experience in facilities planning, fabrication and structural design, construction management, and industrial safety/environment
• Project management Professional (PMP) certification
• Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal/leadership skills, computer skills
• Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking ability
• Excellent planning/project management skills
• Strong functional/working knowledge of electrical, mechanical engineering disciplines
• Knowledge of the OSHA, NEC, NFPA, EHS, and state and local standards
• Knowledge of schedule and resource planning techniques and software
• Software Knowledge: Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, Risa (or similar), Microsoft Office
