Van Leeuwen is looking for a Demand + Supply Planner to join our Supply Chain team. You will work closely with the founding team of Van Leeuwen Ice Cream as we embark on our next stage of accelerated growth. This role is ideal for you if you have experience in Demand / Supply planning in the CPG / Food space, can thrive in a fast-paced environment and loves ice cream!
As a Demand Planner at Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, you will own and execute various tasks across demand and supply planning, focusing on accuracy and efficiency.
This role will be based out of our Williamsburg, Brooklyn office and follow Van Leeuwen's Hybrid work model and be in office at least two to three days a week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Demand Planning & Forecasting:
Gather, validate, and upload inventory reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Update wholesale, retail, and DTC (direct-to-consumer) demand forecasts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather forecast data for new store openings (NSO) and customer introductions
Utilize store-level data to improve forecast accuracy and support product demand planning
Support the Director of Supply Chain in refining retail and wholesale demand forecasts
Production Planning & Reporting:
Update production plans to ensure that wholesale, retail, specials, and new products are properly slotted with Co-Man on a weekly basis
Develop a Production Attainment Trend Analysis to guide manufacturing decisions
Compile data for the monthly Supply Planning report
Data & Systems Management:
Become the subject matter expert (SME) on the MODUS Planning platform
Assist with the integration of retail point-of-sale (POS) data into the ERP system (NetSuite)
Leverage queries and data from ERP and other systems to create reports and analyze trends
Run Aging Materials reports to ensure inventory accuracy and proper replenishment
Cross-Functional Collaboration & S&OP Process:
Work closely with logistics and 3PL partners to ensure timely replenishment of wholesale and retail orders
Contribute to the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to optimize the overall supply chain strategy
Assist with additional data inputs and exports related to NetSuite (ERP) as necessary
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred
5+ years of experience in a Demand Forecasting, Supply Chain Planning, or a related field
Strong experience in demand planning and forecasting, with a focus on accuracy and data analysis
Proven experience in food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries strongly preferred
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, vlookups, data analysis)
Experience with ERP systems required (NetSuite a plus)
Experience with Queries, Google Script and data management tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Compensation & Benefits
$90,00.00 - 120,000.00 annual compensation depending on experience, paid weekly
