Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring a full-time FP&A Sr. Analyst based out of our main office in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This is a great opportunity for an experienced individual to work closely with the CFO and cross functional team as the company embarks on its next stage of major growth. The ideal candidate is someone who is data-driven, has experience working in financial planning, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The FP&A Sr. Analyst is responsible for Van Leeuwen’s budgeting and forecasting process, monthly managerial financials and KPIs reporting, treasury management and completing ad hoc financial analysis. This role requires the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines with extreme attention to detail, and consistently accurate, high quality financial analyses.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with finance leadership and cross functional teams to formulate the business's medium to long term financial and strategic plan
- Partner with Department heads to build annual budgets and forecasts
- Manage treasury duties and creditor and investor reporting
- Conduct analysis and reporting for corporate functions including, monthly financial analysis, re-forecasting, variance analysis and pipeline analysis
- Analyze financial and operational results to better understand company performance
- Prepare business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions
- Monitor KPIs and identify the cause of any unexpected variances
- Communicate financial results and make recommendations to senior management for business improvements that will lead to cost reduction and revenue generation
- Manage periodical or ad hoc financial data analysis, queries, reconciliations and reports as needed for board of directors, investors and/or senior leadership
- Demonstrate appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
- Identify and implement opportunities to resolve finance issues, improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes across team
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Finance or Accounting preferred
- Investment Banking background preferred
- 2 years of investment banking, consulting or financial planning and analysis experience, experience in the Consumer sector is preferred but not required
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Superior financial analysis and financial modeling skills
- Detail-oriented, well-organized
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skill
